Class Descriptions

Intro to STOTT PILATES® Courses

6hrs inc free assessment class. Our courses are geared toward helping you understand the basic principles and exercises that are fundamental to the STOTT PILATES method. These techniques create a foundation of good body alignment, core stability and increased flexibility within your joints and back. The aim is to move on to either the Classic or Intensity classes afterwards.

Classic Pilates: Levels Improvers, Equipment, 1, 2, 3

Build on the STOTT PILATES basic principles learnt in the Intro course during various levels of either Improvers, 1, 2, 3 or a dedicated Small Equipment class. A variety of small equipment may be used in all classes adding further challenge and fun! Ask your instructor for more details or if you need help deciding your class.

Intensity Pilates:

Combining basic exercises at a more intense and faster pace; focusing on strength training to improve heart, lung fitness & stamina levels. A great way to enhance your sporting activities or to get that full body sculpting workout!. Not suitable for anyone during injury rehabilitation or pregnancy.

STOTT PILATES

Basic Principles Workshops (please ask reception for next available dates)
Suitable if you either fancy a taster of Pilates, if you’ve done our Intro course but need refreshing your basic skills or if you have considerable training in another Pilates method but not STOTT PILATES.

Ashtanga Yoga:

Energetic with flowing postures, builds heat & strength to detoxify the body. Our Monday class is 1.5hrs working through the full Primary Series.

Power Yoga:

Freestyle modelled on Astanga but no set sequences!

Hatha Yoga:

A good mix of Vinyasa flows and static postures, a well rounded general class.

Rejuvenation Yoga:

Slower paced, works on breaking down postures, breathing techniques, energy blocks & relaxation. Includes a monthly total relaxation guided meditation Nidra class.

Intro to Yoga Workshops

For those who have little or no experience of yoga. Discover a little about yoga’s philosophy and breathing, as well as learning some basic postures that appear in most of our class styles so you’ll be able to join a regular class with confidence. Please ask reception for next available dates.

Men Friendly in Pilates and Yoga:

Designed to overcome male shyness so men too can enjoy a total body workout- Mondays 8.15pm Ashtanga Yoga with Martin, Tuesdays 8.15pm Vinyasa Krama Yoga with Gary, Wednesdays 8.30pm Equipment Pilates with Colin or Thursday 8.15pm Improvers Pilates with Vicky. NB. Women are still more than welcome to join in these classes.

Childrens Yoga:

Choose from the calming and agile affects of yoga for ages 4 - 7 yrs, 7 - 11 yrs and Teens. 

Teens Street Dance

Seen it on the videos, now have fun learning the routines with us!

Jazz Dance

A contemporary and fun dance class for the adults will leave you smiling. Dance experience not necessary.

Pilates Reformer 1:1

An amazing piece of equipment that provides light constant resistance which when combined with precise flowing movement creates positive and profound results. “Reform” yourself by realigning the body and joints, developing core stability and create lean muscle tone. Suitable for everyone, whatever your goal ie dealing with back pain, recovery from injury, correcting over training of muscles, pre natal care, or just if you like to workout and develop a streamlined and toned physique.
