Pilates
Pilates sculpts a strong, streamlined, flexible and balanced body. With the emphasis on core-conditioning and breathing this ultimate exercise regime is recognised by physiotherapists and osteopaths as a highly effective method of rehabilitation from sports injury, back and joint pain
Train your core through the STOTT PILATES® method.
Our instructors have now trained in the STOTT PILATES method; the most respected organisation in the world. Using modern practices of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation, it is one of the safest and most effective methods of exercise available today.
Reasons to choose STOTT PILATES
- longer, leaner muscles (less bulk, more freedom of movement)
- improves postural problems and body awareness
- helps prevent injury
- enhances functional fitness, ease of movement
- no impact, easy on the joints
- can be customised to suit everyone from rehab patients to elite athletes
- complements other methods of exercise
- improves performance in sport (golf, skiing etc.) and corrects over training and muscle imbalance that leads to injury
- improves balance, coordination and circulation

In some cases, we would recommend an initial course of 1:1 Pilates Reformer sessions before you begin on matwork classes. Our Studio Manager, Michelle, is available to help you with your questions.
